چکیده
Abstract Purpose of Review comprehensive data on rates toxoplasmosis in Panama and Colombia. Recent Findings Samples sets from Colombia, that facilitated estimates regarding seroprevalence antibodies to Toxoplasma risk factors, were reviewed. Summary Screening maps, factor mathematical models devised based these data. Studies Ciudad de Panamá estimated at between 22 44%. Consistent relationships found higher prevalence factors such as poverty proximity water sources. Prenatal screening for anti- variable, despite existence a law. Heat maps showed correlation bodies overall seroprevalence. Spatial epidemiological identify specific regions could most benefit comprehensive, preventive healthcare campaigns related congenital infection.

The incidence of melanoma has risen over the past 30 years in most white populations. 2 However, in some parts of the world incidence rates are stable or falling. Although large scale primary prevention programmes such as public health education campaigns aimed at reducing exposure to sun may lead to reduced incidence, such programmes have not yet been proved effective. However, melanoma is hig...

Worldwide, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is is the fifth most common cancer in men and the seventh in women (Figure 1). Because of impaired treatment options and late diagnosis in many cases, mortality is almost as high as the incidence rate (mortality: incidence rate 0.93). Worldwide, it is the third most frequent cause of tumour-related deaths. In the year 2008, 748,300 new HCCs and 695,900 ...

Good hygiene may increase the likelihood of asthma. Impaired early airway function predisposes to asthma. What we need to know: How do several minor genetic factors combine to increase the risk of a...
